A new vision for responsible makeup

CÉNÉE was born from a simple observation: while skincare is moving toward greater naturalness and transparency, makeup often remains formulated with occlusive, polluting, and controversial ingredients. Emerging now are products that bridge the gap between skincare and makeup. However, these alternatives have remained limited — with a narrow range of shades, too-light coverage, and insufficient wear.

Formulas rich in pigments and active ingredients

CÉNÉE defines itself as a dermo-active makeup brand, combining high pigmentation, safety, and proven skin benefits. Formulated with carefully selected ingredients and designed to minimize environmental impact, our products are vegan, thoughtfully developed and manufactured in France.

1 - Clean and Safe Formulas

Creating high-performance makeup that’s skin-friendly and environmentally conscious is a true technical challenge: ensuring the stability of natural raw materials, compatibility with pigments, and a comfortable user experience... We’ve met this challenge by working alongside experienced chemists to eliminate controversial ingredients due to their potential impact on human health or the environment (silicones, parabens, toluene...). At the same time, we’ve preserved sensorial appeal and lasting wear. Our formulas are 100% vegan and prioritize naturally derived ingredients.

2 - Makeup Enriched With Active Ingredients

Since products like foundation or lipstick remain on the skin for hours, we’ve enriched our formulas with actives at concentrations comparable to those found in facial serums. Hyaluronic acid, peptides, probiotics, plant-based collagen... Each product helps hydrate, protect, and strengthen the skin over time.

3 - High Tolerance For All Skin Types

Our formulations exclude irritating agents that can sensitize the skin—even if they’re naturally derived. All of our formulas are fragrance-free. Every product is dermatologically formulated and tested to ensure optimal tolerance, including for sensitive skin. You can view our full list of prohibited ingredients here.

A Conscientious Choice of Components

From the very beginning of CÉNÉE, we’ve taken a responsible approach by excluding polluting ingredients from our formulations. This commitment also extends to our packaging choices:

1 - Most of our bottles are made from clear glass to reduce plastic use.

2 - We prioritize recyclable materials and aim to incorporate as much recycled content as possible.

3 - Our shipping boxes are made from cardboard and designed to be as compact as possible, minimizing empty space and helping reduce our carbon footprint. We protect each product without using any plastic fillers.

Every element is carefully chosen to combine aesthetics,
practicality, and a reduced environmental impact.
